unforgiveable -I loved the movie

I just saw the movie, the unforgivable.

i read one review, and glanced at snippets of several others.

i guess i am one of very few who liked the movie.

i may have heard about it in the last week, but today i was pleasantly surprised when i went to Netflix looking for something to watch.

i really like sandra bullock, both on screen and off. some actors, like julia roberts, i like on screen, but not off. i may have spoken of her in earlier posts, so will not elaborate on that here. barbra Streisand is another actress i like on screen, no longer like her off screen. that also is for another day.

and then i saw the actor who played the attorney.

at first i thought it was vince dinofrio. then, i thought it was a different actor. but when i heard the voice, i was able to confirm it was he. he was such a handsome man. then he gained a lot of weight during filiming of criminal intent. then he lost some of it. i think he gained some of that back. i guess that's why i had difficulty reconginizing him. so i was again pleasantly surprised. i loved his goren character, and think he's a great actor. and then viola Davis. although i was surprised she took such a small supporting role. unless some of her scenes were cut. and then richard thomas, whom i havent seen in a long time, and whom i loved as johnboy. and who looks like he has hardly aged, since i last saw him. dont recall when, possible on one of the law and order franchise shows. well, i was in heaven. and last, but not least. the person with whom bullock becomes friends. i also did not recongnize him initially. maybe because he was wearing a hat. i am also not very familiar with his voice. his character died on TWD early on. but while i was watching tonight, suddenly he looked familiar. and i saw his nose which i believe had been broken a number of times. what a wonderful cast.

the movie does have some holes. like the sister having a bad day, the very day sandra bullock's character is released from jail. that was mentioned, but never explained. and why were there so few people at the sister's recital?  didnt she have any friends. or maybe it wasnt a recital. maybe it was some other kind of program. perhaps i didnt catch what it was. but it was in this room with many seats, and only about five of them occupied.

and i guess it happens, but how likely are sisters going to be 15 years apart, with no child in between. perhaps the parents had difficulty in conceiving, but i dont recall that being mentioned during the movie.

it was frustrating to see bullock's character suffer so, especially when we get to the end. i would like to elaborate, but the movie is just recently released i believe, and i dont want to ruin it for anyone. the movie gone girl was ruined for me. however, it was a while after it was released. so i cannot fault the movie reviewer. wish i had seen it though before i read the review.

the movie brought me to tears. this is a good thing. i like when movies do that for me. i find it very cathartic. most of my crying was at the last scene. i would have liked a scene after that. but it was so dramatic, i knew that would be the end.
